Re: Navigation Updates ( don't be fooled! ) – 13-11-2019, 01:31 PM. It's always been the case that it's 5 updates from the time the vehicle was manufactured. The license controlling this is embedded into the cars MMI and the time ticks by regardless of if you actually perform an update.
The first issue led to the second one. Recently when inputting a destination (postcode entry via voice) it would find the postcode but then tell me “no street available for *****” so is have to just navigate to the centre of the postcode. I updated to the latest maps which didn’t fix it so I decided to reset the navigation to see if that

But now I'm wondering whether it will turn out to be an expensive (£500) white elephant, and if an off the peg sat nav for a quarter of the price would be a better bet. I haven't been given a build week yet, so there is still time to cancel it. (Currently, I don't own a sat nav of any sort). Views and suggestions welcome.
