What kind of shifter layout are you using? The game offers several layouts modeled after real truck shift patterns. I think I use the ZF 16-speed layout because it's most similar to the Eaton-Fuller layout I use in ATS, but whichever layout you use will vary depending on your preference and also the type of transmission you have in your truck.
I do not have a working H-gate shifter. (just broke recently) I want to use "Real Automatic" tranny, not "Simple Automatic." The problem I am having is .if I remember correctly, the mapping for this option ("Forward" and Reverse" )is in the Keyboard menu, but the game allows you to map a button or paddle shifter on the wheel. Their take on the range switch is interesting, but again, not true-to-life. For the price that I've seen, Simu-Shift is about $105 on Amazon, $95 on ebay. Hi, I have a Logitech DFGT and have been primarily driving using full automatic but I want to have a little bit more to do when driving so I want to learn to use gears. I am starting with sequential manual as my wheel doesn't have a clutch pedal and just a forward and back shifting knob.
