In answer to the OP's original question my Audi 3.0 TDI is a great engine but only has 28,000 miles on the odometer so I can't answer questions about high mileage. Before the Audi I had a VW 2.0 TDI with about 120k miles which was perfect.Torque, at 457lb ft, is more than you’d find in the Audi R8 V10 Plus. And that’s in a family-friendly, high-riding SUV.
